He served as President of the Dalhart Rotary Club, which received many recognitions including President of the Year and Club of the Year. Honored to be selected as the Rotary District Assistant Governor, Alfonso also received the distinct recognition of ‘Rotary Hero’. He was selected as the 2024 Best Real Estate Man by readers’ choice at the Dalhart Texan.
Instructing classes at Frank Phillips College, teaching English as a second language (and, yes, hablo español), and serving on numerous other boards such as the Dalhart Economic Development Committee, the Planning & Zoning Commission, the Community Development Board, and the La Rita Theatre Board are commitments that evidence Alfonso’s involvement and connection to his community.
His peak life experiences include marrying his high school sweetheart and being an uncle to the best nieces and nephews.
